A few kilometers from Siena, on the prestigious Via Francigena, there are three significant places connected by a path and a shared history. In the day Saturday, June 2nd and Sunday, June 24th you can discover these places through a guided tour through which to admire the beautiful fortress of Staggia with its Castle, the Towers and the walls still passable. You can visit the magnificent Abbey Island Abbey, founded in 1001 and owes its name to the environment, emerging as the edges of wetlands; the church seemed to rest on an island. The visit continues in the wonderful village of Monteriggioni, a magical place where time seems to stand still, enclosed within its walls and towers, a place that always attracts many tourists for its beauty, including Dante Alighieri. He saw Monteriggioni in full battle in one of his trips, and celebrated the majesty in his most famous work, the Divine Comedy.
